Mari Dávila Lobo - Visual Artist 

Interdisciplinary artist centered in the description of her own narrative and visual world as a way of create an ideal ethical space for the diversity of individuality. 

She searches for connection with sacred through art as a vehicle surrounded by the idea of being lost as a way of being. 

Mari Dávila Lobo is a Venezuelan visual artist, performer, poet, painter, art educator and scholar based in Barcelona. Her work examines liminality in art  and alternative narratives that can heal the unconscious and our relations. The idea of the marge as a place to explore individuality and expression.  

She holds a Laureate in Social Communication audiovisual sciences from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas. 

She studied Latinamerican Literature in Universidad Simón Bolívar and Theater in Universidad Central de Venezuela at the same time she was part of the poetry workshop of Armando Rojas Guardia and dance workshops in Caracas.  

She worked in TV writing scripts and in  Venezuelan independent movies. 

Aim to explore in the narrative in images She worked in TV writing scripts and in  Venezuelan independent movies, she holds an MBA from  Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV de San Antonio de los Baños en Cuba in Production Desing and Art Direction for movies. 

In her research she keeps involving with artists  from different disciplines with some of them she founded La Broma Poética in Venezuela a collective dedicated to show works of art in progress as a way to share art process while healing abandoned spaces.

She moves to NY City to study movement and poetry where she gets in touch with The Movement Research and NYU Creative Writing. 

Her works have been preseted internationally in venues and museums including  Sala Hiroshima in Barcelona, Judson Church in NY, Dixon PLace NY, Triskelion Art Center NY, Queens Museum, Museo de Ciencias de Caracas, Museo de Bellas Artes de Caracas, Centro TET Caracas, Teatro Rajatabla in Caracas.

She had collaborated with Moreno Bernardi Atelier in Barcelona, Bori Muñoz, Vanessa Vargas Dance Lab in NY, Movement research NY, Melinda Ring NY, Centro TET in Caracas, and Teatro UCAB in Caracas.  

today she is studying mural painting in  Escola Massana, Barcelona.
